How to Force MIUI 11 Update on your device if you haven’t received the update

It is natural for Xiaomi device owners to grow tremendously impatient since the company starts rolling out the Android 10-based MIUI 11 Global Stable ROM update from October 22. The impatience is much stronger for users owning devices that are included in the first batch of updates such as Redmi K20, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7s, and Redmi Note 7 Pro. The rollout was supposed to last till October 31.

However, it seems there are some confusion and disarrangement with the rollout program. Firstly, people originally thought that the update will be rolled out as a public stable version. But according to the latest reports, the update schedule is mainly targeted at Beta Testers of MIUI 11 and it might take 2 to 3 weeks more for the stable version to release.

Secondly, Xiaomi has rolled out the update first to Redmi 7A that was originally included in the third phase of updates (November 13 to 29). The other Xiaomi models that have received the MIUI 11 global update very recently include Mi 9T aka Redmi K20 in India, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Mi CC9 in China, and Mi 9 Lite in Europe.

The owners of other devices from the first phase that have not yet received the MIUI 11 OTA package might be trying very hard to get the same. If they have already tried several options and failed, below are some of the unique methods that they can try to manually get the OTA package. These methods might work for you, but if they don’t, we will suggest you to wait rather than ending up damaging your device.
